New on KSA.DE the 50. anniversary insignia of the Kampfschwimmerkompanie. It was originally created by Jochen Gerlach, Wolfram Giebel, Erich Adolf und Gerd Meyer. It shows a sawfish for German Navy Diver, a Parachute for Airborne Operations like HAHO and oak leaves as the german RANGER insignia to represent the triphibic orientation of the Kampfschwimmer. The Kampfschwimmer Insignia was established in 1972 by Kapitänleutnant Rüdiger Matzat, the CO of the Kampfschwimmerkompanie and the first PEP-Exchange Officer with the Navy SEALs in 1975.
To Notice: The capability Kampfschwimmer was established in 1959 as a Platoon in the Beachmastercompany, to support the Fleet.
